2022 Summer Reading & 2022-2023 Supplies Lists
SCCS believes that reading is the key to learning. Teachers of all disciplines are teachers of literacy. To this end, reading and writing are promoted in the curricula of all subject areas. The summer reading program is one aspect of the overall mission to build strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills in all of our students. Each student will be responsible for completing a reading assignment over the summer.
Please refer to the lists below for details.
Did You Know?
SCCS students with a library card can check out summer reading books at the Audubon Regional Library! To get started, go to https://audubonregional.net/ and learn more about locations and available summer programs.
Also, students with a valid Audubon Regional Library card can access eBooks through this link by clicking on the eBook tab.
Another good thing to know is that when the eBook is checked out, it can be downloaded to the device via Wi-Fi for free and then students can access the book at home or anywhere even though they may not be able to connect to the internet. After 2 weeks it disappears from their device and there are no late fees or anything.
All teen and children's accounts are fine free at Audubon Regional Library. Any books checked out under one of these types of accounts accrues no late fees if the book is returned late.
The SCCS library will open June 1st and 2nd from 8 – 11 am for students wanting to checkout a summer reading book. More summer dates to be announced.
Happy reading!
