State Testing Resources for Families

2026–2027 Assessment Information

In accordance with Louisiana Act 674, SCCS provides families with access to information regarding assessments required by the State of Louisiana as well as assessments administered locally by SCCS.

Louisiana Statewide Mandated Assessment Schedule

The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) publishes an annual schedule identifying assessments and screeners required by federal law, state law, or rules of the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE).

The schedule provides information about applicable local assessments, including the students or grade levels assessed, purpose of the assessment, administration window, estimated testing time, intended use of results, and other information required by Louisiana law.

Assessment dates and windows are subject to change. Families will be notified of revisions to applicable assessment schedules as required.

Annual Local Assessment Review

In accordance with Louisiana Act 674, SCCS annually reviews locally adopted or required assessments. This review considers the purpose and intended use of each assessment, the amount of instructional time devoted to testing, the timeliness of assessment results, potential duplication with other assessments, and whether locally required assessments should be retained, reduced, consolidated, replaced, or eliminated.

This information is found in the Slaughter Community Charter School Locally Required Assessment Schedule and Calendar.

SCCS teachers and staff are available to assist students and families with questions about assessment requirements, schedules, and preparation.

SCCS provides appropriate accessibility features and testing accommodations to eligible students in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements and each student's individual plan.
