4 students in the Classes of 2022 and 2023 graduated with 18 hours of college credit.

40 SCCS students competed in academic competitions at the 2023 District Literary Rally at Southeastern Louisiana University. 19 place high enough to qualify for the state rally. 8 were ranked 1st place. At the Louisiana State Literary Rally at LSU, Jackson Easley (Algebra 1) and Trinity Whetstone (Physics) placed 2nd. Christopher Hayden (Chemistry) placed 1st.

The first SCCS student to place 1st at the Louisiana State Literary Rally was William Peterson (World History) in 2022.
- SCCS has had students place at the Louisiana State Beta Convention in academic competitions and move on to compete at the National Convention in English, History, and Robotics. Our 2017 Robotics Team placed 5th at the National Convention in Orlando.
- SCCS students annually place at the local, state, and national levels in art, essay, and poetry contests sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution.
- SCCS graduates have joined and served in the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.
- There have been students scoring at or above 30 on the ACT in almost every SCCS graduating class.
- Our Class of 2016 Valedictorian, Adrienne King, was awarded the prestigious Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Scholarship.
- Class of 2019 powerlifter, William LeDoux, brought home SCCS’s first state championship.
Destiny Clarkston placed 1st in state in shotput in 2023 and Jayden Lavespere placed 1st in powerlifting in 2023.
- Class of 2019 baseball player, Hunter Millican, was our first college athlete. He was followed by Class of 2020 graduates, Ke’Tron Jones & C.J. Irvin, who became our first college football players.
- Class of 2021 graduate, Folashade Kinyomi, served on the 4-H State Fashion Board. Since then, we’ve had multiple students serve on several state boards in 4-H (Ashley Pugh, Olurotimi Kinyomi, and Laura Borders).
